We are watching, ultimately for the rapture of the Church which is the bride of Christ. Believers are not appointed to wrath. Not that we won’t have trials and tribulations, but believers will not have to endure the 7 year time of trouble ahead. We are watching the current events unfolding which are setting the stage for a One World Government, One World Religion, and the soon arrival of the Antichrist, who will rule during this coming time. Daniel’s 70th week, is also known as the Time of Jacob’s trouble. http://truthnet.org/Endtimes/4/
Jesus will remove his bride before that time of tribulation when his judgement comes upon the earth to try the hearts of men.
“For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Thess 5:9)
Right now, we are seeing the birth pains that Jesus described in Matthew chapter 24.
25 “There will be Signs in Sun and Moon and Stars, and on the earth dismay among nations, in perplexity at the roaring of the sea and the waves,
26 men fainting from fear and the expectation of the things which are coming upon the world; for the powers of the heavens will be shaken.
27 “Then they will see THE SON OF MAN COMING IN A CLOUD with Power and great Glory.
28 “But when these things begin to take place, straighten up and lift up your heads, because your Redemption is drawing near.”
Jesus commanded his followers to Watch, and recognize those signs that would precede the Rapture, and said that only those not watching and awake might be deceived, and not recognize the time of his coming. Those who are not found in the family of Jesus Christ, will be left behind to endure the Tribulation period.
It will be the worst time ever in the history of the earth. The job of a Watchman or Woman then, is to warn others of danger ahead, so that people can turn to God, recognize their need to repent and be saved; and also, so that the body of Christ can be found ready and spiritually prepared.
1 Thessalonians 5:8-10 – The Day of the Lord
We need to be always working and discerning, to avoid the traps and deceptions that our enemy Satan has placed on our path. He is working overtime to cause us to stumble, lose our way, and be distracted. Therefore, we must stay alert and be wise to his methods, so we can help one another along the way.
But Praise Be to God Almighty, we were given all the tools we need to endure this time, and occupy until Jesus comes. Jesus has taken away “the veil” that kept us blinded from the truth, and revealed to us what is really going on in this sin sick and fallen world.
We who are watching, can see the deception in our culture orchestrated by the powers that be; so instead of blindly following the masses, we can recognize these evil plans, and warn one another. We need to daily put on the full armor of God, to be able to stand firm in the truth of God’s word, and be protected as that day draws near.
Scripture tells us that in the latter days, people will be so lost, and blinded by sin and decay, that it is possible that even the elect may be deceived. We need to stay awake, aware and alert, prayerfully asking for God for discernment and Guidance daily; so that we can overcome the evil one’s plans to destroy us. …Mark 13: 21 At that time if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There He is!’ do not believe it. 22 For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform signs and wonders that would deceive even the elect, if that were possible. 23 So be on your guard; I have told you everything in advance.…
We are not left as orphans, or left without God’s help however; God tells us that with the strength and wisdom of his Holy spirit, working in and through us, we can and will overcome. We have a “blessed hope”, and can walk in his Truth and his Light in this dark world, until that day he calls us up to be with him.
Titus 2: 13 looking for the blessed hope and appearing of the glory of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ;
“Let your waist be girded and your lamps burning; and you yourselves be like men who wait for their master, when he will return from the wedding, that when he comes and knocks they may open to him immediately. Blessed are those servants whom the master, when he comes, will find watching ” (Luke 12:35-36).
What a blessed moment when we see Jesus our Savior face to face and have a joyful meeting in the air. In I Thessalonians 4:16-18, the Bible says, “For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.” (KJV) What a blessed hope we have in Jesus! May we be not found selfish concerning our hope, but share also to others the blessings of trusting the Lord Jesus Christ for their salvation. Truly, Jesus saves!
